After a career in event management Barbara found herself working at the Royal Albert Hall as a Steward and fell in love with the building. She shares her experiences of working at the Hall, its history, the variety of performers, daily life, as well as stories from behind the scenes.
From rock concerts to the Proms, from boxing to ballet and from The Festival of Remembrance to 1500 schoolchildren making music Barbara talks happily about ‘Life at the Hall’.
Barbara worked in event management for over 25 years, including running her own business, which incorporated corporate hospitality events and conferences.
She is now Director of Administration for Orchestra Vitae, the fastest growing professional orchestra in London, founded in 2012. The musicians are young professionals and they specialise in creative programming mixing contemporary music with fresh performances of well known works.
